Can 32-bit float files be directly saved to 24-bit FLAC without first saving the original WAVs to 24-bit?

For example, after importing a 32-bit float recording and making edits, does clicking “save” keep the file in float?

Hi. Recently started recording in 32-bit float and am wondering how to handle saving the file to 24-bit for final delivery. Does Amadeus apply dither automatically upon saving or will it truncate unless you manually dither--and how best to do that?

Ok, just sent all messages and system.log

Ok disregard my last post, I spoke too soon; after the file was open for 10 minutes the program quit unexpectedly. Upon re-opening the app and trying to open a sound file again, it quit on the spot. I sent the crash report via the pop-up message...HELP!

Martin, I sent the log via PM, let me know if you didn't get it, my computer hung after hitting 'send'. The downloaded version seems to open files ok now--do I keep using that one? Do I have to delete/uninstall the crashed version? I see there is only one icon for AP anyway in my applications folder...

I too have noticed this when using the Mac magic mouse to zoom in/out. It quickly goes away though so not a terrible issue for me.
