Re: AP m4a Files Now Not Accepted by Apple Music

Not seeing that here I don't think..., although it’s true I’m on different hardware and macOS. But I don’t think I’ve come across FPCM as a sound encoding type? PCM though, yes. But I didn’t think AP could output to PCM, I’ve never seen it offered and it’s not listed in the hand book of supported ty...

Re: Any Auto-Save Functionality during freeze?

So just to confirm my resaults from the version you provided in your link;
AP’s native .amad format now works :D in addition to the WAVE and FLAC formats in my first tests.
Otherwise I still get the same fails testing the other Lossless formats as I had before :(

Re: Any Auto-Save Functionality during freeze?

Just seen your reply Martin and thanks for getting a potential fix out so quick :D But its mixed results I’m afraid... The native .amad format now works! But trying .aif still fails and throws up the warning: An error occurred while reading the file. This does not appear to be a valid AIFF/AIFC file...

Thanks Martin for looking into this :) Hope you can find and fix what is causing the Amadeus and AIFF formats to fail.

Re: Any Auto-Save Functionality during freeze?

Had some time today to test reopening Auto-Saved files some more in different non compressed lossless (I think?) file formats when using the Auto-Save function in AP and using Force Quit to simulate a crash. I’m using the current version of Amadeus Pro, v2.8.13, on a Macbook Pro running macOS 10.15....

Re: Any Auto-Save Functionality during freeze?

Thank’s for the reply Martin :) , but I’m still not getting any usable sound so far with my crude "Force Quit" experiment above. AP is writing the file to my location of choice while recording, i.e. Desktop in this case in it's native format, and it’s data size v length looks correct but w...

Re: Any Auto-Save Functionality during freeze?

I feel your pain! :( The only form of Auto-Save I know of is the ‘Save while recording’ option in the ‘Record To New Document…’ window. I always have this selected (paranoia) but so far I’ve never needed to rely on it! So…, out of curiosity I’ve just tried Force Quitting AP while it was recording wi...

Re: amadeus quitting when i cut and paste

Not seeing this myself, but I see you are using AP v2.8.8, the latest version is 2.8.13.
Perhaps installing the latest version might sort the problem for you :?:
Wish I could be more helpful!

Re: Recording whatever your computer is playing (but internally)

To get you started, have a look at sections; 11.4 & 14.4 in the Amadeus Pro manual and also have a look at Martin’s post here: https://www.hairersoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7479 If you follow his link to the BlackHole webpage, I would suggest to start with, ignore all those links at the very ...

Re: Multi-Disc LP Sets to iTunes?

Unfortunately there is no field when editing a files metadata in AP for specifying Disc numbers for a multi track file that’s part of a multi disc album. In AP each LP of a multi disc Album needs to be a separate multi track file. For each of these files I will go to; Sound > ‘Show Sound Info’ and i...

Re: How to Boost/Match LUFS?

Unfortunately amplifying any sound file will also amplify any deficiencies within it as well, so if you are getting unacceptable levels of distortion after amplifying the initial recording, it might be worth looking again at your recording setup, levels, etc… to see if you can’t a) get closer to the...

Re: Where should Amadeus Pro be stored?

Macs have multiple Applications folders, how many and where will to some extent depend on how many User Accounts there are on any given computer. Apps that you see in: User’s Home Folder > Applications are only visible and available to that user. Apps in Macintosh HD > Applications are seen by and a...

Re: How to Boost/Match LUFS?

LUFS or dB units are going to be interchangeable here I think. You can see the average dB levels for any given file in AP by opening the ‘Statistics’ dropdown window for said file and looking at; 'Average RMS Power' which will show you the current average dB levels for that file. If you don’t have t...

Re: Open in 32-bit mode

I’m not a programmer but I think the problem is going to be as much with your OS as with which version of Amadeus you run. Although Mojave (10.14) was the last macOS that could still run 32bit apps, Apple had already removed the ‘Run in 32bit Mode’ option from the Info windows in Mojave. So I would ...
