Topic: Problems with App - menus won't respond

I just tried opening and closing right way — no problem. So must be related to some other action. I have been editing MP3 files, converting them to AP format and doing some editing by taking out some sequences.
Next time it happens, I will check Activity Monitor and send that to you.

Thanks,
Richard

I am using AP version 2.13 and OSX 10.6.8. I am saying that trying to quit the program in a normal way — either using menu file/quit or the keyboard command/Q — either way the program freezes, no menus items will work, no response from the program at all, stays up and running and have to force quit....

Problems with App - menus won't respond

I am using APro on a Macbook Pro, running OS 10.6.8. Version of AP is 2.13. Problem is that if I try to quit the app, using command/Q or using the menu choice to quit nothing happens expect that none of the menu choices will work any more. Can't open Prefs, License manager, nada. Have to force quit....

Why no "open recent" menu working?

I have AP version 1.23 on a Mac powerbook Pro running OS 10.6.8. I notice that the "open recent" menu NEVER shows any files that have bee opened. Is there something I have to do to activate it?

Thanks,
Richard

Can I loop a selection?

I selected part of a track and wanted it to play repeatedly as a loop but can't figure out how to do it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Richard

Thanks for the explanation. May I ask then this question? When making a CD from AP, is it possible that there can be settings that will then name the CD as it is being burned? Sounds like not.
If not, then should I first name the blank CD that I have inserted, and then burn it from AP?

That makes sense to me. I can try turning off the Gracenote function and see perhaps. Up to this point, in AP I checked off the option of writing the text (title, etc.) and at least it does not put up a strange title but just calls them all "audio CD". You would think that since I put in t...

Do you mean that when I am burning a CD in AP, that it is looking up info in iTunes? I just put in a master disk I made some time ago and when it mounts in the Finder, it has one of these strange names. I am really confused by it.

Just did the same with a second disk, now it is entitled "Live-Act Set" even though I went into metadata and put the disk info in. I don't know where the name "Live-Act set" comes from.

Very odd CD burn

I have AIFF sound tracks, already edited and used before, and opened them today to burn some more CD's. Ran the first one at "maximum possible speed" which is 24x. Seemed to go all right, then at end, disk ejected and message that there was an error and that the device did not respond. I a...

This is a GREAT program

I want to say what a pleasure it is to use this program. I was struggling along with Peal lite and going from frustration to frustration. I am inexperienced, just editing some recorded lectures I gave. But switching over to AP was a great move. Much easier to use and much more intuitive I think. A c...

Aha! I do have that plug-in. Trying it out. Enhances the sound output. I will eliminate it and see how that goes. Thanks for figuring it out for me.

console log.

here is what I did today. Opened AP and used the 5-band equalizer. Applied a change and saved file. Then opened equalizer again, clicked "preview" and program quit. File is 89 minutes long, 1 track, sampling rate 44,100 Hz, sampling depth 16 bits, format AIFF. Here is the Console log: Proc...
