Feature Request: Show Whole Sound preference

Can a preference be added that turns on Show Whole Sound? I have a lot of files I edit and it's kind of a pain to keep turning this on every time I open a file. Thanks! Bizarre, it should remember the state of the "Show whole sound" from has time you toggled it. Works for me... Martin Hai...

track info on CDs

I said 'official' because Amadeus Pro supports CD Text, which is not strictly part of the CD specification. You might be able to get that to work - i don't know whether iTunes recognizes it. At least last time I checked iTunes didn't recognise CD-TEXT data, which IMHO is a serious bug in iTunes... ...

Version 1.2.1 way slower than previous

Since downloading the 1.2.1 update, I'm finding tasks take nearly twice as long to complete. Is anyone else seeing a similar slowdown? I also tried using the new pause feature but it didn't really pause-- the GUI claimed it had but the task continued in the background (as proven by the 'top' utilit...

mp3 tags

Hi, I noticed that problem with handling the "Comment" tags the other day. The version at <http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusPro.zip> should fix it. Regards, Martin HairerSoft http://www.hairersoft.com/ _______________________________________________ Amadeus forum mailing list Uns...

Amadeus pro & rec output source

Whats wrong ? Have a look at the "How to record from the output of another program" section of the manual. If you follow these instructions step by step, you should be able to record the output of iTunes. Recording the output of Skype or any other program works in a similar way. Regards, ...

iPod-crash with files created by Amadeus Pro 1.2 on Leopard

(The settings-bug is still present, too, btw.) That's bizarre, I thought that I fixed that one.... Could you explain steps that allow to reproduce it? odd results merging mp3 files

As a quick aside, VBR seems like it might also complicate things. Does the bit rate get stored in the frame header (allowing each frame to say how it should be read), or is there a "I'm VBR" flag stored in the file header somewhere? I *think* that there's a "I'm VBR" flag somewh...

odd results merging mp3 files

They said that the file format was one of self-contained, independent frames so that a stream could be picked up at any point without requiring previous frames. This is true, *BUT* (and this is a big but), this concerns only the "raw" Mp3 datastream, and does not not concern all the metad...

Pitch lower in Amadeus Pro 1.2

That was exactly what I expected to do when I pressed down key. So I take it that the new behaviour is indeed more intuitive... Happy to hear that ;-) Regards, Martin HairerSoft http://www.hairersoft.com/ _______________________________________________ Amadeus forum mailing list Unsubscribe / chang...

Error message when trying to open mp3 file.

Does the file have a .mp3 extension? If yes, have you tried to set Amadeus Pro to use mpg123 to open it (this should be default behaviour actually)? Type defaults write com.HairerSoft.AmadeusPro HSReadMp3WithQuickTime 0 in your terminal. Regards, Martin HairerSoft http://www.hairersoft.com/ ________...

Pitch lower in Amadeus Pro 1.2

sorry, I have not used Amadeus Pro since there. You are right, GerardBik, this is just because I had pressed arrow keys :D . I plan to release version 1.2.1 tomorrow. One of the changes there is that if no sound is being played back, then the up / down arrow keys move the selection from one channel...

How about a Version History on the web site?

I know you can see the version history from inside the program. But that means you have to download a new version just to see what's in it. I'd like to be able to look at the version history on-line. Good point. I have now put it on the "Read me first" forum: http://www.hairersoft.com/for...

Version history

Here is a list of the main changes in every major version of Amadeus Pro since 1.0. Minor versions have typically no (or only very minor) user-facing features so are not listed here from version 2.0 on. Amadeus Pro v2.8 - Supports the RF64 format for WAVE files of arbitrary length - Supports metadat...

Bringing into new tracks

As far as I know, you can't -- you open the file and then drag the track into the file. You can also drag the file into the open document.
