Question about fadings
Let's say I have two adjacent songs - using Join Files, I see song #1 on the left and song #2 on the right. I want to fade out song #1 and, over the last three seconds of song #1, I want to begin song #2. I do not want to fade in song #2 - I want it to begin at full volume. How can I do this in Amad...

Interestingly, I was able to burn my disc using Toast 17 Titanium. I saved the file I created in Amadeus in .aiff format. I then opened Toast and used that to burn the disc. The problem is that it burned it as one long file, rather than as 18 separate tracks; in other words, it couldn't read Amadeus...

Can someone explain this error message?
I made a compilation of some songs, and am trying to burn it to CD. I've done this many times in the past without a problem. Tonight, I am getting the following error message: "An exception was raised. -[DRBurnSetupPanel windowDying]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x7f994f66f9f0" ...

Message to upgrade to 2.0.5
I got a pop-up window tonight from Amadeus Pro saying I should upgrade to version 2.0.5. However, I am currently running 2.3.1! I am currently ignoring the pop-up window, but would like more information.

Is there an easy way to select one channel of a stereo recording, in order to edit that channel?

Thanks to all. These are good tips that will save me time and effort. As pm said, normalizing the joined file will retain the tracks' relative amplitude. However, sometimes the amplitude variations from track to track can be large and can degrade the listening experience. In that case, I can normali...

Figured it out
I've just figured it out on my own. The steps:
1) Open the tracks in Amadeus and normalize.
2) Save each one to a folder on the desktop.
3) Drag the tracks into Toast Titanium.
4) Rip the CD using Toast.

Question re burning a CD
I own a CD that has 14 tracks, and was recorded by the record company at a very low volume. I would like to normalize each track to an appropriate volume, then burn those tracks to a CD. How can I create this CD in Amadeus?

Please allow me to share my method for transferring cassettes to mp3. I record from a TEAC audio cassette deck to a Marantz CD recorder. This allows an easy way to adjust recording levels. Once burned, I insert the CD into my Mac and open it with Amadeus. With Amadeus, I separate the one or two long...

Converting LPs to mp3: Question re AmadeusPro
Hello. I have a number of LPs that I would like to convert to mp3's. I am considering AmadeusPro to assist me with this, but, after trying the program and reading the documentation, it is not clear to me that it has the aspects I'm looking for. My needs are not elaborate, though, so I'd like to expl...
