bpm recognition

Post by joneblaze »

hey guys, is there a bpm detection in amadeus pro? and if i am mixing two songs/tracks together how do i use amadeus to keep the two track bpms in sync.... for instance if one song is 70bpm and the other is 72 and i bring the second song in before the first one is over how do i make the two songs bpms blend or sync, how do i keep them in time until i fade the first song out?

Martin and all,

I am bumping this post because I am a drummer and we're working on a new album and I'm trying to find out if
AP will determine the BPM of a song or selection. This is not as easy as it sounds and being a drummer I always speed up so I'm trying to get the baseline beats per minute so I can practice along with it in the studio.

Thanks for any help in advance

All,

Under the sound menu there is a selection: shows sound information, and there is a blank field did says beats per minute but it's empty. I tried looking at this area while I was playing music and while I selected a section of the music and it was always blank. There's a button underneath it that says tap and I assume that's for if you tap there you could set a beats per minute but I could not get it to do anything either?
