I'm editing a 24/96 WAV file for a film restoration project; it's not huge, only about 300 MB. I've been saving periodically, of course. Somewhere in the middle, I tried to save it and AP didn't seem to do anything. I tried "Save As" with the same lack of result. Also "Save a Copy". Tried closing the active edit window and got the exception "failed to load save panel accessory views."
Finally, I quit the app and it asked me if I wanted to save. AP was able to save and quit normally. I've never seen this happen before!

Weird, which version of macOS is that? It almost sounds like an OS bug...

Sorry about the delayed reply - I've been out of town. It's OS X 10.13.6 with the latest security updates on a Mac Pro. I've been editing files since then (but only AIFF) and haven't seen a recurrence.
