Rearrange Tracks

I want to rearrange the tracks in my file.

The manual says to grab a track by its top gray bar and move it, but when I do that the track just copies onto another track.

• It's easier if you collapse the tracks first (little white triangle at the very left of the grey bar). Then,
• grab the track in the middle of the bar
• pull it down/upwards (until you see a dark grey line with little circles at the left+right edges)
• release the mouse button.

It's not the most intuitive way, especially because the track doesn't always land where you expect it, but moving them around will after some trials succeed.
