Hi
Newbie here..... i did a quick check and don't think this issue has been raised before....
Until recently i was using Amadeus Pro version 2.8.13 on a 2012 (I know, i know...) MacBook Pro running OS High Sierra. I'm now trying to use Amadeus Pro 2.8.13 on a 2019 (last of the intel chip) MacBook Pro running OS Sequoia.
I am finding I have terrible latency issues. The blue playback cursor moves jerkily - not smoothly - and lags behind the wave form image and sounds that are played back. This situation is making sound editing almost impossible.
Whereas previously i could edit by stopping the playback cursor at a precise point simply by looking at the wave form, now the cursor position is not consistent with what i'm hearing. When - based on the music i am hearing - I press 'return' to stop playback, the sound stops but the blue cursor continues to move forward (jerkily) for a few moments until it reaches the point of the music where I stopped playback. in other words it 'catches up'.
I fired up my old 2012 Mac again and the cursor movement there is smooth and in time with the sound wave image on screen.
Any advice please? is it perhaps 'user error' on my part and a screen refresh setting within my MacBook Pro?
Latency issues in playback - Mac OS Sequoia?

Re: Latency issues in playback - Mac OS Sequoia?
I've looked into this further and the possibility of it being buffer size related.
My Amadeus pro settings are for a nominal sample rate of 441000Hz. Sampling depth is 16 bit and IO buffer size is 512 samples.
a buffer of 512 samples seems to be the lowest option available to me. if i increase the IO buffer size to 4096 it has no obvious impact (negative or positive) on playback latency.
Does other sound editing software have this problem?
