Batch Convert Individual Files NOT In A Folder?
Hi, quick question: not so long ago, Amadeus Pro allowed a drag-and-drop of individual or multiple files into the Batch Converter window, which then automatically started the conversion process and placed the converted files in the same folder as the originals. Now it wants me to put those files in a folder first, then convert the whole folder. That's not convenient for my workflow, because almost always I'm converting only SOME files in a folder, not all of them. Is there a Setting/Preference whereby the Batch Converter works the way it used to; i.e., simply drop individual or multiple files (not folders) into it? Running Amadeus Pro v 2.8.13 on a desktop Mac OS 12.7.6 (Monterey). Thx!

That sounds a bit odd? I’ve never been asked to put files into a folder first before processing them.
And we both have the same OS and app version*. *(Though I also use 2.8.12 if I have a lot of markers to edit around)
What is the exact notification you are seeing that requests you make a folder first?
And what settings have you setup in the Batch Processing window?

Re: Batch Convert Individual Files NOT In A Folder?
Hi, are you using the App Store version or the version from my website? This sounds like a problem with the sandboxing requirements for App Store apps. Basically, when you drag something on the app, the sandbox gives access to precisely those files and / or folders, but no more. So creating new files in a folder that was dragged onto the app is possible, but creating new files in the same folder as a file that was dragged onto the app is not...
